Yes, you are doubly punished, but that is actually intentional. It's intentional in the sense that if you answer wrong the first time, then I give you a chance to explain yourself. But if your explanation is foolish, then you are showing that you are ignorant of what was wrong, and you're ignorant again. Right, so that's intentional that you'll be punished twice because first you misunderstood something, and then you're showing that you can't even recover from that with some sort of educated reason for it. Right?
